A lot of applause among the visitors was received from the Oracle Insurance Forum 2006. Well-known experts and branch-representatives introduced intelligent solutions to meet new challenges in a global world of insuring. The participants were able to get comprehensive information about innovations all around the insurance branch.
Friedhelm Ost, retired State Secretary and former speaker of the federal government, nearly got standing ovations for his recital as Keynote Speaker on the topic „Globalization - new Challenges for the Insurance Industry”. Ost is absolutely certain that globalization offers chances and possibilities for the Financial Sector. All it needs is to recognize and take these chances betimes. That however also calls for constant optimization of Business Processes and alignment according to given market conditions. Solutions from one hand, where single components are coordinated, have to be used.
The participants assessed the speakers’ broad spectrum as positive. There were interesting contributions from Testing Procedures to Business Project Topics up to practical experience especially in CRM. In an accompanying exposition the visitors were able to collect information about the innovative software solutions for insurers. With its „Project office PROMATIS“, PROMATIS gave insight into project work and presented Business Processes and process-oriented IT-Solutions based on Oracle. With a focus on Business Processes they informed about solutions tailor-made for the insurance sector and showed the implementation of portals and CRM concepts. That’s exactly what the topic was in a lecture given by Heribert Hofmann of Karlsruher Lebensversicherung AG. In cooperation with Dr. Frank Schoenthaler a lecture was worked out, which illustrated the requirements and solution concepts for customer-focused Business Processes in the Insurance Sector and thereby closed the circle to the Keynote Speech by Friedhelm Ost. |
