The upcoming takeover of BEA Systems through Oracle has caused quite a stir. Not only might the immense transaction volume be the trigger for the stir, but also the fact of an overlapping Middleware Product portfolio. This of course leads to questions on the markets, which have not been answered satisfactory by Oracle yet. The topic is also seized by PROMATIS Manager Thomas Karle in a comment. In it he also picks up the consequences for the new Oracle Fusion Applications.

Since January 1, 2008, PROMATIS software GmbH is a cooperative member of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI). This shall appreciate and support the important work of leading German Computer Science Organizations. With its roundabout 24,000 members GI has put its aim to support and promote computer sciences. This is achieved among other by supporting professional and occupational workings by computer scientists and bringing out and supporting scientific journals.
